In 1986, five friends from New Jersey hit the east-coast metal scene as Deadly Blessing. Delivering a powerful, progressive sound and generating a large following, Deadly Blessing secured a record contract with New Renaissance Records. With the 1988 release of Ascend from the Cauldron, Blessing received excellent reviews in magazines and fanzines such as Hit Parader, Circus, Ker-rang, and Metal Hammer. Lack of support from New Renaissance caused Blessing to disband.

In April 2005, Deadly Blessing learned that their music was thriving in Europe. They were invited to appear at the "Keep it True Festival IV" in Lauda, Germany. The band had apparently grown bigger and more mysterious in Europe over the the years. They were welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd when they hit the stage for the first time ever in Europe. Blessing performed an unbelievable gig that won't be forgotten by anyone who was lucky enough to attend the show that night.
Following the huge success at "Keep it True IV", Deadly Blessing performed at the Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles "Six-pack Weekend Festival" in Clevland, Ohio in May 2005. In September 2006, Blessing returned to Germany and debuted four new songs at the "Swordbrothers Festival IV" in Andernach, Germany. Two months later, Blessing was invited to appear "Boricua Metal Fest III" in Cayey, Puerto Rico. The reviews all agreed: Deadly Blessing is back with a vengance. Shortly after returning from Puerto Rico, frontman Ski decided to part ways with the band.

Who didnt love Nick Mitchell. I have that picture. He was wild playing that bass and smoking hot. He must be about 19 years old here. He still moves the same on stage, non stop.
Great band. They exploded on the scene back then. So, under rated they were. I think the radio dj's were to close minded to appreciate Ski's vocals. Thats not Tony on the video you have posted.
